To See the Sunrise Again
In Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, Chumley Huffington wasn’t much of a Duelist. He failed most of his Duel Academy exams and made lots of mistakes while Dueling. But what Chumley lacked in Dueling ability, he made up for in creative talent. He dreamed of becoming a card designer. Inspired by Australia’s Ayers Rock landmark, he painted the card art for a card that came to be known as Ayers Rock Sunrise. He entered his artwork into a card design contest hosted by Maximillion Pegasus and took first place in the competition. As a result of his victory, Pegasus awarded Chumley a copy of the Ayers Rock Sunrise card that he designed, and offered Chumley the opportunity to work for Industrial Illusions as a card designer.
Up until now, Ayers Rock Sunrise has not been available in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME, and it was only ever played in what turned out to be Chumley’s farewell Duel. But when Dragons of Legend is released on April 25th, Duelists will finally be able to get their hands on Chumley’s greatest creation!

Ayers Rock Sunrise has 2 awesome effects. First, it Special Summons a Beast-Type monster from your Graveyard. Next, it weakens all of an opponent’s monsters by 200 ATK for each Beast, Plant, and Winged Beast-Type monster in your Graveyard for the rest of the turn.
There are lots of cool Beasts you can Special Summon from your Graveyard with Ayers Rock Sunrise. These Beasts include Bujingi monsters like Bujingi Hare; Crystal Beast monsters like Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus; Heraldic Beast monsters like Heraldic Beast Leo; X-Saber monsters like XX-Saber Darksoul; Ojama monsters like Ojama Blue; The Fabled monsters like The Fabled Unicore; T.G. Rush Rhino; Fencing Fire Ferret; Flamvell Firedog; Green Baboon, Defender of the Forest; Leo, the Keeper of the Sacred Tree; and Naturia Beast. For a complete list of Beast-Type monsters that you can Special Summon with Ayers Rock Sunrise, check out the Official Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME Card Database here!
Special Summoning a Beast-Type monster is just the beginning of what makes Ayers Rock Sunrise powerful. After you Special Summon a Beast-Type monster from your Graveyard, Ayers Rock Sunrise weakens all of your opponent’s monsters by 200 ATK for each Beast, Plant, and Winged Beast-Type monster in your Graveyard.
There are lots of popular Winged Beasts, including all of the Blackwing and Harpie Lady monsters, and there are tons of popular Plants, including Dandylion, Lonefire Blossom, and the new Sylvan monsters. Each one that you have in your Graveyard will contribute to Ayers Rock Sunrise’s effect. With enough Beasts, Plants, and/or Winged Beasts in your Graveyard, Ayers Rock Sunrise will make an opponent’s toughest monster easy to defeat in battle with any Beast that you Special Summon.
Ayers Rock Sunrise works best in Decks that use lots of Beast monsters, but is also effective in Decks that rely on just a couple of strong Extra Deck Beast monsters and use some Plants and/or Winged Beasts that can help you capitalize on its effect. You can add Ayers Rock Sunrise to your Deck when Dragons of Legend is released on April 25th!
